Pridestar EMS was on the road yeserday with Sweet Pete the Ice Cream Man visiting our local nursing centers and handing out ice cream for the staff and some residents. Even some of the Pridestar employees were able to get their ice cream fix.

Pridestar EMS Employee Fund recently participated in the VW Pull for Wounded Warriors. This fundraising event at the Service Credit Union Boston – Portsmouth Air Show benefits the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, and its work with wounded warriors living with traumatic brain injury. The benefactors are men and women who have suffered injuries from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and young survivors of brain injury.

Pridestar EMS was recently featured in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's 2011 Annual Report that showcased one company from each of the six New England states. Pridestar was chosen to represent Massachusetts by the FHLB for the unique partnership that was facilitated by Lowell 5 that allowed Pridestar to take better control of skyrocketing insurance costs.

PrideStar EMS has doubled its fleet of trucks to 50 after acquiring Andover-based Health Tech Ambulance Service. PrideStar chief executive David Daly said the deal makes sense because it allows his company to gain more scale in an increasingly competitive industry by teaming with an organization that has “the same philosophies and principles.”

Oct 2010- Nintendo Wii Bowling Challenge with the Lowell Senior Center All-Star Team
Pridestar EMS recently accepted a Nintendo Wii Bowling Challenge from the Lowell Senior Center All-Star Team. The game system was donated by Pridestar in an effort to provide the Senior Center visitors with an another way to remain active. The All-Star team squeeked out a victory over Pridestar. A rematch is in the works.
Oct 2010- PrideSTAR EMS participated at a touch-a-truck event held at the St. Margaret's School in Lowell.
Oct 2010- Because of PrideSTAR EMS's continued support of our service men and women, CEO David Daly, and COO Matthew Libby, were invited by the U.S. Air Force Reserve on a "Bosslift".
Daly and Libby spent 2 days touring operations in Westover, MA and Dobbins, GA. They flew on the Air Force's largest aircraft, the C-5 Galaxy, toured the Lockheed Martin plant in GA, and even got to fly a C-130 simulator. It was a great trip. Once again, we here at PrideSTAR extend our appreciation and thanks to our service men and women.

02-01-2010 - PrideSTAR has a new Medical Director
PrideSTAR EMS is proud to announce that Dr. William Stuart has become our new service Medical Director. William A. Stuart, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School and completed an internship at University Hospital in Baltimore before completing his Family Practice Residency at Harvard University in 1974; at which time he was an instructor at Harvard Medical School. He was Director of the Emergency Room at McNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn Illinois from 1974 through 1975, at which time he was an Associate Professor at The University of Illinois Medical School. He returned to Massachusetts in 1976, and was Director of the Emergency Room at Hale Hospital for two years before practicing Emergency Medicine in Lowell; initially at St. Josephs Hospital and at Saints Medical Center until June of 2008. He is currently licensed in Massachusetts and a Diplomate of The American Board of Emergency Medicine.

PrideSTAR EMS has become a licensed State of New Hampshire Transporting Ambulance Service.
